First of all, these photos were all taken before work actually started. Often times I have the privilege of opening up in the morning, which leaves me a few minutes to get settled in before having to start doing stuff. And doing stuff makes you crazy. The busier things get the harder it is to stay sane...especially if you need to keep track of multiple unrelated things. In order to do that you have to be organized and being organized takes a lot of effort.
Yes, people talk to themselves. I didn't used to, but now I do. I have to. It's the only way to make sense of things. Amirite?
