So, on Saturday we went out to karaoke at the Silverlake Lounge and Jenny decided to test out the Lady Gaga tune...she sang the song 3 times. It was hilarious at first, but that's how obsessions begin right? Good thing nobody else was there and we could all hog the mic.

It's pretty much the end of 2009. Did things really change over this year? One of my favorite sayings is "the more things change, the more they stay the same." For starters, it'll be almost 2 years since Inna and I moved into our apartment in Hollywood (we don't live in the apartment pictured). Second, it'll be 5 years since we started dating. Holy shiznit!

"The Accident, Part 4"

So Inna requested that I make another comic in The Accident story arc. She felt that there was no resolution. She's probably right. Here is the comic that attempts to fill those shoes.

When I showed this to her this morning she said the same thing. I guess it's tough to figure out the resolution if it hasn't happened in real life. I guess you will all have to wait...or until I figure out something clever.

Also, it's hard to be creative when you only have 4 images of yourself behind the wheel, and in each photo you're making the same face. I'm such a terrible actor.

So, this is the last comic in this story arc. I know that puking rainbows is a little over used, but whatever. I don't care. It's funny to me and that's what matters, right? Why am I even asking you if I don't care.

Anyway, long story short, the insurance company said that I was at fault. I suck. And now I'm out of a car for a while. Oh no, I can drive it, I just can't shut the windows.

So, earlier in November I got into a wreck. It wasn't that bad and I'm being a complete pussy for claiming to be still emotionally damaged. But shit, don't you guys realize how dangerous it is to be hurtling down a highway in a 2000+ pound machine next to other 2000+ pound machines? I suppose you can say the same thing about public transit. At least in your car you have some semblance of control. In the latter situation you place your trust completely in a public servant who might not even really care that much.

Anyway, I'm going to do a series based on my encounter.

I apologize to the two of you who read this for the amount of zero jokes in today's comic...thought I'd toy around with amore comic book style. It's kind of hard. I keep saying this over and over again, but how do the guys who actually DRAW comics do it. Inna suggested that I take a drawing class. Not sure I have the patience for it. I can see the pictures in my head, but I can't execute. Maybe I should try anyway.

This post is relevant to Thanksgiving because Inna and I were out in Griffith Park searching for a real live Tofurky. We were going to go all primal on it and kill it ourselves. Ahh, processed and reformed things are my most favorite things to eat. Seriously though, some of the Morningstar stuff is pretty good.

The twentieth comic on the twentieth day of the twentieth month. The month known as November. Hah. Anyway, Inna and I joined/founded a new band called Box of Birds, which prompted the purchase of new instruments...sort of. She'd been wanting a new bass for a long time and I'd been wanting a new guitar for a long time. Finally the time was right. Maybe we'll see you at a show some day.

Ugh. Mondays. It was a good weekend though. We went to see They Might Be Giants at UCLA's Royce Hall on Saturday night. They were fantastic as usual. The entire performance was based on the Flood album. I think it's their weirdest album.

Then on Sunday, we went to see Pirate Radio. It was okay. I get it though, rock music is a big deal. Afterwards we practiced our instruments.
